Announcing PB&J: The Preview for Baby & Juvenile

—Joint venture with Toy Industry Association for new show brings mass market decision makers together—

DALLAS – November 30, 2011 – Dallas Market Center, the world's most complete wholesale resource, today announced plans for PB&J: The Preview for Baby & Juvenile, a new trade event for mass market retailers created as a joint venture with the Toy Industry Association (TIA). The new show will debut and run concurrently with TIA's annual Fall Toy Preview, October 2-4, 2012, on the Dallas Market Center campus.

PB&J will offer a focused selection of baby and juvenile resources from leading manufacturers, with an emphasis on companies in the following categories: furniture, bedding, gifts, décor, baby care, accessories, strollers, high chairs, nursing/feeding. Together, PB&J and the TIA Fall Toy Preview will create the most important event in the United States for retailers seeking to maximize the buying experience for a more than $9 billion industry.

"This joint venture was developed with the mass market in mind," said Bill Winsor, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. "Our goal is to deliver an environment where corporate sourcing teams can conduct business more efficiently."

"We support this integrated show concept," said Neil Friedman, president of Toys "R" Us. "Our buying teams and management can review products together and get more accomplished at one time."

"Delta has participated in the TIA Fall Toy Preview and found Dallas Market Center to be a great venue to meet key decision makers," said Joseph Shamie, president of Delta Children's Products. "Adding baby and juvenile to the product mix will make it even more attractive for our company's diverse product lines."

Echoing Fall Toy Preview's model, PB&J will be a by-appointment-only event that brings together vendors with mass retailers for private meetings as well as networking events. Dallas Market Center will provide meeting rooms, WiFi, special hospitality and other amenities. Dallas enjoys easy access from around the world, low travel costs, award-winning restaurants, and numerous entertainment options.

"TIA launched its Fall Toy Preview in 2007 to fulfill the need for early meetings between many of the largest toy vendors and retailers, but there are strong indications that a similar event is needed for baby and juvenile children's products," said Carter Keithley, TIA president. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to combine our expertise with that of the Dallas Market Center in initiating such a preview event for the baby and juvenile market."
